HMG concerts are designed to engage a new audience in the orchestral experience by performing popular music that relates to all generations, allowing parents, grandparents, and children to attend an elegant evening/matinee with accomplished musicians while being educated by the original composers and arrangers. Hearing personal accounts of how each composition came to be, audiences walk away educated, enlightened, and wanting more.
HMG Speaker Series events include intimate discussions with authentic composers and arrangers. Though geared towards students in high school and university music programs, the HMG Speaker Series are designed to make orchestral presentation less intimidating for music students of all levels. Students of all disciplines will be able to envision careers in composition and arranging–all through the lens of music that is familiar and accessible to them.
